HDR Treatment Enclosure

H.D.R. Enclosure is a cost-effective alternative to shielding an existing room for brachytherapy treatments. With a footprint of only 80 square feet, this product will fit in most exam rooms or hospital operating rooms. For facilities that currently use linear accelerator vaults for H.D.R. treatments, the H.D.R. Treatment Enclosure frees up the vault, allowing for facilities to use both treatment options.
NELCO is the world’s leading manufacturer of H.D.R. enclosures, and is the only manufacturer whose enclosure features full standing room. Our product is available in outpatient, intra-operative and double door models.
Frequently found in both freestanding centers and hospital oncology departments, NELCO’s Outpatient H.D.R. Enclosure is the most commonly used. The system comes complete with a custom shielded door system, shielded wall and ceiling pannels, power, physics, duct, and electrical ports, and all interior finishes. Accessories include a radiation monitor, ‘Radiation Source Exposed’ light, a sound system and custom artwork.
The Intra-operative H.D.R. Enclosure model is much like the Outpatient model, with the addition of all necessary features for an operating room (lead for the unit floor, operating room quality wall, ceiling coverings, lighting that meets sterilization requirements and an anesthesia utility access port).
The Double Door H.D.R. Enclosure model is a larger unit with extended lead shielding and two double door systems. This model is particularly useful for H.D.R. treatment facilities that have an extremely busy practice. Each of the enclosure’s doors typically lead into separate simulator rooms, and allow staff to quickly move from patient to patient.
