Elmhurst Radiation Therapy Vault Upgrade

NELCO’s team of architects and engineers worked with Accuray and the hospital group in the renovation of an existing Linear Accelerator vault to accommodate a CyberKnife® system. To speed up time to completion, NELCO was asked by Accuray to turn the six to eight week schedule into just twenty-one calendar days. NELCO accepted the challenge with a true teamwork approach, and has now done this type of project faster than anyone else. NELCO’s scope of work included the design and construction of the vault, providing and installing all radiation protection products, and coordination of the CyberKnife® system’s installation.
